Hi there! Happy July!
At the start of June, I still had some assignments to finish, but gradually, there was more and more room for creative play and little day trips.
The visit to the transport-themed LEGO exhibition at CODA was a fun little bonus after a visit to a gallery not far from Apeldoorn that did not make it on video because I didn’t dare ask if I could take photos or film.
The drive over the 27-kilometre dam was sandwiched between two family visits. The lake on the left side is the Markermeer, and on the right is the IJsselmeer.
I’m enjoying making ‘ugly art’. Which doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be ugly. It just means I’m finishing almost empty art supplies and making a mess. And that’s the whole point.
I also finally received my copy of Emma Carlisle’s new book. It’s so beautiful, and the story is heartwarming.
The Pet Shop Boys concert was brilliant and exceeded my expectations. The visuals were amazing. Super inspiring.
The Mien Ruys Gardens are celebrating its centenary. Mien Ruys was a renowned garden architect and a remarkable woman.
And it’s the time of year when the art academy graduates show their work. I hadn’t been to one of these finals in years but always enjoy them immensly.
That’s it for today. Have a good week!
Marsha.
