Flip-throughs

Time Traveler and Beyond The Paper Accordion Fold Books
1

Hi there!

Happy Friday!

This week was about online workshops being retired next week, ensuring websites are up to date, emails being sent, posting on social media, and trying new Pinterest features.

Luckily, I spent at least some time testing a few new (to me) paints (System3), big Posca markers and coloured pencils, and I experimented with gel printing with them in one of my older sketchbooks, too.

I also dug up the books I had made at the end of my video lessons for the online mixed-media workshops on sale.

It’s always fun to look back at these projects because they hold so many memories—not just of the creating process and the collaboration with my friends Nat Kalbach and Birgit Koopsen but also of personal memories from much longer ago!

Anyway. The flip-through above is of one of the two books I made to conclude my Time Traveler lessons.

The flip-through below is of the accordion fold I made to bind various substrates together at the end of my Beyond The Paper lessons.

If you haven’t already taken these online mixed-media workshops with Nat, Birgit, and me, you can check them out on Nat’s website until April 30th, 2024.

There’s a bundle discount, too: use coupon code ‘bundle2’ at checkout to save.

Have a wonderful weekend! Tomorrow is King’s Day here in the Netherlands, so we’ll be (hopefully) enjoying an oranje tompouce!

Marsha.
