How are you? Did you enjoy a long weekend as I did?
Yesterday, Emma Carlisle hosted a drawing session via Zoom that I enjoyed a lot. I was super happy with the garden birds I drew.
It reminded me of a slightly less successful bird-drawing session I attended in 2025 and of how much my drawing has improved since then.
So I thought it would be nice to have a look at the second sketchbook I filled last year (featuring some questionable birds, as well as some I was really happy with at the time!).
Enjoy your day!
Marsha.
A few details about the sketchbook:
It’s a Stillman and Birn Epsilon softcover sketchbook that I altered because I could not live with the original cover.
The endpapers were gel printed.
I have been customising the endpapers of my sketchbooks ever since I saw this video by Parul Arora a couple of years ago: Starting a NEW sketchbook (Turn blank pages into end papers).
The hosts of all the Zoom drawing sessions I attended to fill this sketchbook:
Citla Flores’s The Sketchbook Games on Substack
Emma Carpendale’s The Creative Flock on Substack
Beth Spencer’s Introvert Drawing Club on Substack
Pauline Teunissen (La Scarlatte)’s Creative Cocoon Art Club on Substack
