On Saturday, we went to look for furniture at the nearby vintage and charity shops, and I ended up taking some vintage and secondhand hobby books home.
And then yesterday, I walked by a secondhand bookstore in Amsterdam and couldn’t resist taking another look at the picture book section, where I found three more books I liked.
So here’s a little book haul!
The books I found are pretty typical for me: I look for colour, interesting marks and patterns, and anything that might teach me something about printmaking or illustration.
I don’t usually buy books just for their cover, but this time I couldn’t resist. It probably has something to do with leaning into what attracts me and thinking about what I like about it.
