Something new!

If you’ve followed me on Instagram for a while, you know I started posting ‘mini vlogs’ in February 2021. I posted a new one each day for 100 days, then switched to twice a week, then to random weeks, and eventually, I posted the last one in October 2022.

We all know that Instagram is ever-changing. As has my joy in spending time on the app. I’ve considered moving the vlog to YouTube many times before. However, now I feel it’s long overdue, and I’ve just posted the first mini vlog on my existing YouTube channel.

You can subscribe to my YouTube channel (I would love that!), however…

You and I also need another space for connecting outside of Instagram and YouTube.

So I’m starting a Substack:

Because sometimes I want to show you more. Tell you more. Explain something in more detail.

And that’s where this Substack comes in. It’s a newsletter/blog you can read on the Substack website, in the Substack app, or you can have it sent directly to your email inbox.

That way, you will never miss another mini vlog, and I can easily add more insight, musings, tips… And it’s a place I can tell you more about what I’m working on, what I’m enjoying, what I’m reading or watching and where I can keep you in the loop.

In my imagination, it’s a mix of my blog before Instagram and Instagram before Reels, but in the form of a newsletter.

There will be two ‘newsletters’ per week. One with the ‘weekend vlog’ on Monday and one with the ‘week vlog’ on Friday.

PS. I almost forgot to say something about this week’s vlog!

In it, you see me open a package with new markers. You do not see that I was pretty puzzled about the contents because I did not order the pink marker, and I also did not order more than one purple marker. Turns out that the shop sent me replacements for some things that were out of stock!

I needed new markers because I was looking for a particular blue colour for an upcoming video tutorial. However, I sensed this would be difficult, so I ordered a variety plus an empty marker to mix my own custom colour.

You also see H and me run errands on two separate days: a walk to the egg vending machine in our neighbourhood and yesterday we took a long detour on our way to and from the supermarket, stopping for coffee and cake, signs of spring and a short stop at the library along the way.
