Enjoying the last of the summer days, experiments and an unboxing

Mini vlog week 37 + 38
2

Hi there! Happy Friday!

If you're new here: WELCOME! Mini vlogs mostly show in-between moments when I'm not working (video tutorial recording, editing, something else that is too boring or perhaps too secret to share) or when I'm working on something that I can share.

Last week, when it was still hot, I gave my all to make the best of the final days of summer.

On Tuesday morning, I met up with a friend for coffee (that turned into lunch and visiting a few of our favourite shops).

On Friday evening, H and I enjoyed a late anniversary BBQ at Zandfoort aan de Eem (our wedding venue). The venue is closing at the end of October, so this was also part of a farewell.

On Saturday, we took a train to Utrecht for no reason other than feeling like doing 'something'.

Here's what I got at the art supply shop:

I can just about read your mind: MORE sketchbooks?!

My answer is: Yes… but… this time I need them for a course! The A4 landscape one is for note-taking, and the other two are for the painting (or whatever medium I use) exercises.

Experiments

At first, I also thought I needed my table easel to do the course homework, but that just turned out to do absolutely nothing, so the easel was quickly returned to the dark corner of the studio it came from.

And you might be wondering why I'm not sharing my results. Well, I'm just doing quick daily exercises and experiments with the tools and materials of my choice without judgment.

The results aren't relevant. I'm keeping them as a record, but it’s just paint on paper. It’s not meant to be anything more; it doesn't have to become anything more, either.

Anyway. I make it look like all I did this week was painting while blasting music; however, know that most of my time went into things barely visible in the mini vlog!

Gel Printers Summit 2023

Like posting about the Gel Printers Summit 2023 registration opening! Seeing all the enthusiastic reactions to it is fun and rewarding. It makes me super happy that everyone is so excited to join in with the gel printing fun in October!

Online class

I’ve also been chipping away at an online Gel Printing for Cardmakers Class!

This class is part of the Stress-Free Cardmaking Summit Ultimate Cardmaking Bundle. So, it's currently only going to be made available to the people who (after signing up for the free SFC ticket) decide to upgrade to the Bundle.

The upgrade means you receive ongoing access to the presentations and bonuses from the SFC speakers. The price of the upgrade is 59 USD until 27 September 2023.

Gel Printing for Cardmakers is the first online class I will be hosting solo, so I have a lot of new-to-me tech and admin to figure out behind the scenes.

That's why I'm currently not opening it up for regular purchase. I might do that after the first run!

New stencils

Last but not least, the new Gelli Arts® stencils arrived! There are three fun new seasonal designs by Giovanna Zara and three by me.

I've started working with them, and they will be featured in my upcoming Gelli Arts® video tutorial!

And, before you ask, I believe they are currently only available for purchase online at Gelli Arts®.

Phew, that was quite a lot to cover in a single letter!

Thanks for watching and reading! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Marsha.
